| How It Works | ||||||||
| Just what is affiliate marketing? Affiliate marketing is a way to earn money by helping a company sell their products without having to stock inventory or have a shopping cart function on your website. Basically, you earn a commission when you help us generate revenue by referring customers to us. For each purchase made by a customer you send to our site, you earn a commission. | Signing Up | ||||||||
We
have partnered with Commission Junction
(CJ) to help us manage our Black Forest Decor affiliate program. Commission Junction is an 'affiliate
network'. That means you sign up through CJ and they monitor and track Black Forest Decor sales that come from your site. When
your commission adds up to $25 or more, the network will send you a commission
check. You don't have to pay anything to join the network. Just fill out
the application so they have the information they need to track your sales

| How You Send Customers to Us | ||||||||
| After you're accepted as an affiliate, you'll have an affiliate account on the network you applied to. Through that account you'll be able to access our product links and banner ads. You place our links on your website. The product links look just like products on any website - except they have a link that takes the customer to the product's page on our website when the product is clicked on. The banner ads work in a similar way. |

| How Sales Are Tracked | ||||||||
| Each time a customer clicks on one of those links, a small cookie is attached to that customer's browser and that cookie keeps track of whether or not the customer makes a purchase. If the customer buys something on our site, the cookie sends information to the network telling them which affiliate (you) sent the customer to us and the dollar amount of the sale. Your commission is calculated based on the sale amount and tallied in your account. The cookie lasts 45 days from the day the customer came to your site and clicked on one of our links. So, even if the customer doesn't buy on that first day, you can still earn a commission if that customer buys something on our site anytime during that 45 day period. |

| Our baseline commission starts at 5% on every sale attributed to you. Over time, you'll be able to grow your site and build your sales to a point where you can earn up to 10% per sale. As your sales strength grows, we'll reward your efforts by raising your commission level. When you generate $3,500 a month in sales, your commission will go to 10% for those sales.
