The table shipped in 2 separate boxes. The wood is a beautiful farmhouse/cabin brown color. I love the metal trim along the side. It gives a medieval feel, too. It was easy to assemble, but I recommend that you have someone strong nearby to help lift the table. It is quite heavy. My only complaint would be that it doesn't have an epoxy poured over the shellac colored brown to keep out crumbs, food, and spilled drinks out of the divets and knot holes.
